Peter Morfín
Peter has been preparing income taxes for over 40 years. As an Enrolled Agent, he is fully knowledgeable of individual, small business, partnerships, trust and estate taxes and represents his clients in IRS and Franchise Tax Board examinations. The expertise that comes with years of service and thousands of tax returns underscores the ease and confidence with which he provides his service. Peter holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an Enrolled Agent. For many years, in addition to his tax preparation business, Peter worked in the mental health field as a psychotherapist, professor and administrator.
Emily Morfín
Emily provides financial consultation services integrating her interest in people's psychological and emotional relationship to money with her pragmatic approach to helping people make financial decisions. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Emily worked for 40 years as a psychotherapist, professor and administrator in the mental health field as well as working side by side with Peter in the tax business. In the early 1990's, Emily decided to pursue her interest in financial planning and investment management; and in 2016, after 20 years, she retired her Securities 7 and 66 licenses to focus on the consulting part of her practice. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis and a Masters Degree in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento.
Leah Morfín
Leah brings over a decade of experience at Morfín Financial Services, where she specializes in tax return preparation for self employed business owners, and employees in the technology sector with stock based compensation. She also has experience as an estate planning attorney and running the family's former payroll service, two practice areas she has transitioned away from in 2022 to focus exclusively on tax services. Prior to joining Morfín Financial Services, she practiced as a litigator with a focus on general commercial litigation. Leah holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, a J.D. from New York University, and a M.P.A. from Harvard University.
